About Discover Kansas!
Discover Kansas was established in the fall of 2006 with a vision of exploring the state around us. Founders Bobbi and Scott, saw the vision grow into an extension of their other business, a coffee shop and deli in Emporia Kansas.
While traveling around the great wheat state and talking with other Kansas entrepreneurs, we saw a common thread. Getting the local Kansans, as well as our visitors, to discover what this great state has to offer. Even in Emporia, it's a constant struggle to convert the citizens of our town into customers, let alone, trying to reach our visitors.
Discoverkansas.com addresses that customer/visitor conversion through a call to action: "Ask not only the visitors who come to our state, but all Kansans to go out and Discover Kansas."
